Concert of Winners of The Azrieli Music Prizes
The first of a series of five concerts and the Concert of Winners of The Azrieli Music Prizes at the same time will take place on 17 September at Municipal House.
Following her appearance here two years ago, the Smetana Hall will be welcoming back the Canadian soprano Sharon Azrieli, who will be bringing along several outstanding soloists for the occasion. Together they will perform works awarded by the Azrieli Music Prizes , a program of the Azrieli Foundation. Within the series of concerts will be played a winning Avner Dorman’s triumphant second violin concerto. The virtuoso composition features solo voice and rich orchestral colour. Also, there will be performed Canadian violinist Lara St. John and Ariel Barnes and Heidi Krutzen from Couloir duo.
